I purchased this item after my MH took a power spike from a bad power source which wiped out all of my electronics. When it arrived, we installed it and within 3 hours the spiking on the feed began. After 3 hit where the protector did exactly as it was supposed to do, I connected to a 30 Amp connection on the poser pole and had no further problems. I recently moved to another park and the first night the protector tripped. It reset and the next morning the park discovered that their 50A plug was bad.

I thought when I bought the MH that I would not need a surge protector. After all, we have only stayed at highly rated parks. I now know that this should have been my first purchase. I would also recommend that you purchase one that resets itself. Pay attention to the descriptions as I almost bought a higher priced one that if tripped you had to send to repair depot for resetting. These are to expensive to have to go through all of that to say nothing of being unprotected.

We are full-timing in a 2008 Gulfstream Sun Voyager 38Ft class A towing a tow dolly and 2005 Mercury mini van.
