Excellent value!!! I was upgrading from a 30A to 50A service on my RV however I'm sure the 30A model is just as easy to install. No more worries about bugs and small critters finding their way into your RV thru the cord hole. Nice weather tight seal! I rated this four out of five for three reasons. Needs a larger RV mounting plate, needs to include mounting screws, needs better instruction on cord assembly. Otherwise outstanding product!!!

What you will need (for a 50A install). Pre-existing 125/250V 50A Breaker Panel & attached 50A cord. A short length of 6-3 w/ ground electrical cable sized to run from your entry point to the breaker panel. Stainless screws for attaching the outside box to the outer wall of the RV. Some type of outdoor all weather waterproof sealant. The instructions leave much to be desired in detail however it is a pretty strait forward install. DISCONNECT ALL POWER FROM THE RV!!! Disconnect the existing cord. Attach your new "leader" cable from outside connection. All wiring connections are color coded for ease with standard Black, Red, White, and Green. Attach outside connection mounting plate to RV using supplied gadgets and NOT supplied stainless screws and sealant. Then mount outside connection box to the plate using not supplied machine screws (Note the plate is treaded so take it with you for screw sizing.) When attaching the mounting plate follow the instructions provided for boring a hole in the RV wall. Since I was replacing a 30A standard cord setup I removed that weather housing and mounted thru that hole. A larger mounting plate would've better for this setup but with time and measurement as well as an outward angle on the screws, this worked fine. However depending on your 50A setup you may HAVE to relocate and cut holes in your rig. Secure leader cable to breaker box with existing clamp then make internal connections with same colors going to same terminals as your previous cord. The last step is not complicated, but it does take a certain amount of patience. First cut the cord shorter than the marks for the clamp when it was mounted to the breaker panel. This will prevent leaks and keep your weather boots in good shape while you move them. Slide black collar off the weather boot FIRST it will not fit over the 50A female plug. Slide on the "cut" end of the cord in this order weather boot, female housing with plug removed. Next strip the jacket and insulation according to the manufacturer's instructions. Attach the wires to the color coded points. Make sure all connections are tight! Attach the plastic clamp and reassemble the housing tightening the screws on the face in alternating fashion. Make sure the weather seal on the housing is tucked out not in before screwing together. Slide the weather boot on. Then put the black lock ring on. I had to use a small butter knife to get the lip of the seal on the boot to slide around the inner lip of the black ring. After all of that assembly is done. Took me about an hour and a half for the wiring on the RV, took about another hour once I figured out the black lock ring has to be removed to assemble the cord. Last thing BEFORE ATTACHING THE CORD TO POWER. Turn off the main breaker. Attach cord to RV then shore power. Carefully use a volt meter to check your getting 120V Black to neutral and 120V Red to neutral as well as ground. Then check to make sure your getting 240V Black to Red (Some campgrounds the Black to Red may be 208V even if the Black and Red read 120V to neutral and ground...this is fine.) If this checks out you're done! If not consult a licensed repair facility.
