Review of Girard Tankless LP Propane RV Water Heater [S111-792200]
I bought this unit after much research and consideration. I installed it myself even though the instruction manual recommended professional installation. The water, LP, wiring and also the electrical for the controller, were straightforward. I wired it into the same 15A circuit as the water pump and then added a switch so the water pump won't run while on city water.
The hot water does need a certain amount of water pressure to operate. There is an initial burst of cold, and then it's HOT HOT HOT! My husband and I both took hot showers last trip. He REALLY likes it since he must have his hot shower every day. Bottom line is, we love it. And, we lost about 80 pounds of GVW just offing the old 6 gallon tank.
